FIRM PHILOSOPHY
ARCHITECTURAL SPECIFICATIONS has a single primary goal -
To provide competent service to our clients through clear
and effective communications We feel that clear
communications with our Clients will yield a clear and
concise Project Manual that will enhance the Client's
relationship with their clients.
To initiate
the communicative process, ARCHITECTURAL SPECIFICATIONS
feels that because the Profession of Specifications
Consulting is relatively new in the design and
construction industries, it is important that both the
Firm and their Clients are fully aware of what the Firm
will be providing in services, and what it expects from
it's Clients. We identify the Sections anticipated to be
prepared, the materials to be provided to our Client, and
the time frames anticipated for performing the Work
involved.
The design
profession has the dubious distinction of providing a
growing number of attorneys with increasing practices
based on confusing and ambiguous contract documents.
ARCHITECTURAL SPECIFICATIONS would like to help design
firms decrease their exposure to potential problems in the
future, by assisting in their production of well
coordinated construction documents.

Design Alternatives provides a complete spectrum of services
for commercial and residential clients who are developing or
altering interior spaces.
• Prepare final working construction drawings or documents.
• Develop a preferred vendor and contractor list.
• Manage the competitive bid assembly and oversee the bid
process.
• Provide bid evaluations and recommendations; award the
contract.
• Prepare all schedules for materials, fixtures, and

Construction Documents
Design Alternatives provides technical construction
documents for each design project. Note -- these are not
furniture or space plans; they are complete, AutoCAD
drafted, technical construction documents.
Construction Administration & Management Services
Design Alternatives' construction administration and
management services begin at the finalization of bid
documents and include supervision of all construction or
installation. Services include weekly meetings with the
client, general contractor and subcontractors, and continues
through final completion of the punch list.
